The Surfrider Beach Club, a 4-star timeshare resort located on the sunny Gulf of Mexico, has 31 fully furnished units for rental or purchase.

Relax by the pool and hot tub.  Soak up the sun using our beach chairs and umbrellas.  Use our bicycles, tennis court, and small playground for exercise.  Refuel your bodies with meals prepared on our barbeque gas grills.  Stay connected to the online world through optional wireless Internet access in your unit or use the computers with free Internet access in the lobby.  For variety, explore local Sanibel Island area attractions, go shopping, and enjoy dining out.  Everything you could want for a relaxing vacation awaits you here at the Surfrider Beach Club on Sanibel Island.

The Surfrider Beach Club is 100% owned by people from all over the United States, Canada and Europe.  The units are often available to rent when owners are unable to come to Sanibel.  So many of our guests  have stayed at different resorts, but they prefer Surfrider because everyone -- the other guests and the staff -- is so friendly.  They look forward to returning to Surfrider to see familiar friends and faces.

April 2, 2020

On March 24 we posted the notice for an emergency board meeting.

Your Board of Directors had the meeting on March 25, and unanimously voted to close the resort due to the Coronavirus. RAL did not close Surfrider Beach Club. The Board of Directors did.

Later that day we posted a notice about Surfrider closing on March 28. It was posted on the office doors, and in the case next to the lock box (same place where we post all upcoming board meetings). On March 26, we started calling the guests that were planning on staying another week or two, to let them know we would be closing, and they could not stay. Some owners had called the office before we called them, and they were told at that time we were closing. We also sent out an email blast, posted on Surfrider’s Facebook, and Surfrider’s web site, to all about the closing.
On April 1st, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, issued a 30 day “Safer at home” order effective April 3rd at 12:01 AM
